Downtown - Sasson Academy's New Collection

Hi guys
The Sasson Academy introduce their new collection Downtown.
Described as Tough, hard-edged shapes, juxtaposed with longer fraved panels, which give a new dynamic to Sasson geometry. Colour is electric as it is fun - this season it's all about achieving a fresh new feeling in hair. 
As a hairdresser who like to think of the people on the real life, I think Sasson's hair is quite edge, but I like the trends and inspirations that I can get with the Sasson Academy's collections. I love the make-up by the way! :)

ATHLETICA Colection by Vidal Sassoon

Finalmente o grande dia chegou.O maior show na Terra- Os Jogos Olímpicos 2012. Londres esta lotada de gente do mundo inteiro e no centro das atenções mundiais. Incrível como nos ultimos 3 anos a cidade veio sendo preparada para esse momento histórico.Fico contente por  morar aqui e ter acompanhado essas mudanças ( algumas boas, outras nem tanto) e esse bapho em torno dos jogos, mesmo eu não tendo comprado um ingresso sequer. Não foi tao fácil, houve um sorteio para quem poderia comprar os caríssimos ingressos. 
MAS o blog não poderia ficar de fora desse bapho todo! E falar sobre os jogos aqui no blog usando o meu assunto favorito: CABELO!!!


Londres é a casa da Vidal Sassoon e também a sede para os jogos desse ano e para comemorar essa conexão, o Sassoon Internacional Creative Team divulgou a ultima coleção Primavera Verão 2012 que é inspirada nas Olimpíadas e nos movimentos dos atletas, chamada "Athletica".

Sasson conhecida pelos cortes geométricos, arrasou mais uma vez. Confira abaixo a coleção, deize seus comentarios e ai ta animado(a) com as Olimpíadas??

Hi guys,

Finally the big day arrived.The Greatest Show on Earth- The Olympic Games 2012. Amazing how this city has changed on the past three years, to be prepared for this historic moment. And I am glad to live here and see all these changes ( some goods ones, others not so good) and now the games, even that I haven't bought any tickets! It wasnt easy to get, you had to aplly and then if you lucky, you could buy the overpriceds tickets. :-( Lol 
BUT the blog could not get out of this fuss and have the piece of the games here on my favourite subject: HAIR!!!


London is home of the Vidal Sassoon and also the host city of this year's Olympic Games and to celebrate this connection, the Sassoon International Creative Team has released the latest Spring Summer 2012 collection, it is inspired by the Olympics and athletes in motion, called "Athletica".


Sasson is know by the edge and geometric haircuts and again rocked with this collection. Check out and leave your comments, are you excited with the games???

Tribute to Vidal Sasson

Assim como Yves Saint Laurent deu as mulheres as calças, Sasson deu as mulheres o corte Bob.
Ontem o mundo dos cabeleireiros, da beleza, perdeu um de seus ícones:
Vidal Sasson.
O britânico de 84 anos faleceu ontem de manha de causas naturais, em sua casa em Los Angeles cercado pela família.


Nos anos 60,as mulheres tinham que ir ao salão quatro vezes por semana para manter o penteado famoso da época. Vidal criou cortes de cabelos, onde as mulheres apenas lavavam os fios e estavam prontas, libertando-as de intermináveis escovadas e spray fixadores.




Quando Sassoon pegou suas tesouras na década de 1950, o estilo dos cabelos era tipicamente enrolados, empilhados para o alto e laqueado no lugar.
Depois veio a década de 60, e os cortes criativos Sassoon, que exigiam pouca manutenção e trabalho para arrumar no dia a dia, e se encaixou perfeitamente com o movimento popular de Libertação das Mulheres.

Constantemente inovando, Sasson criou o bob geométrico de cinco pontas, antes de criar o corte pixie de Mia Farrow para o filme O Bebe de Rosemary(na foto ao lado).
E criou também o famoso corte de Nancy Kwan( foto abaixo)



O estilo wash and wear( lavar e sair)  incluído o bob, o corte de cinco pontos e a 'deusa grega',um curto, e um permanente despenteado.
Sassoon abriu seu primeiro salão aqui em Londres em 1954, mas disse que so aperfeicou a sua tecnica de corte, ate meados dos anos 60.

O homem que foi criado numa área pobre de Londres, foi para a guerra do Israel em 1948, e voltou da guerra para mudar e revolucionar o mundo da beleza, criou uma gigantesca rede de salões, uma linha de cosméticos capilares com seu nome e ainda uma academia para ensinar novos cabeleireiros a transformar usando suas técnicas, e depois de uma longa carreira, encerrou sua participação nos negócios e se dedicou a obras de caridade.

In the same way Yves Saint Laurent gave women the pant, legendary British hairstylist Vidal Sassoon gave women the bob.
Yesterday, the beauty, hairdresser's world lost one of the most importants icone and creators.
Vidal Sassoon, whose pioneering techniques and iconic cuts revolutionized hairdressing, has died aged 84, he had died of natural causes.
A man whose name became synonymous with haircare passed away yesterday at his Los Angeles home surrounded by his family.
The British-born stylist had been battling leukaemia for several years.


Sassoon's creative, geometric cuts required little styling. They were an integral part of the look of Mary Quant, the superstar British fashion designer who popularized the miniskirt.


When Sassoon picked up his shears in the 1950s, styled hair was typically curled, teased, piled high and shellacked into place.
Sassoon opened his first salon in his native London in 1954 but said he didn't perfect his cut-is-everything approach until the mid-'60s. 
Then came the 1960s, and Sassoon's creative cuts, which required little styling and fell into place perfectly every time, fit right in with the fledgling women's liberation movement.


Sassoon's constant innovation saw him invent the famous geometric five point bob cut, before creating Mia Farrow’s pixie for Rosemary’s Baby, pictured above, a look which in turn spawned copycat after copycat.
And the famous Nancy Kwan haircut.


The hairdresser also established Vidal Sassoon Academies to teach aspiring stylists how to envision haircuts based on a client's bone structure. 



The man who was raised in a poor area of London, went to war in Israel in 1948, and returned from the war to change and revolutionize the world of beauty, created a huge network of salons, a line of hair cosmetics and also created a academy to teach stylists to transform hair using his techniques, and after a long career, ended his participation in business and devoted himself to charity.

 MOICANOLaterais cortadas à máquina contrastam com os fios mais longos e lisos do alto da cabeça. Modelados para trás, eles formam um topete que evidencia uma mecha larga, do tipo strong, no tom castanho dourado.

MOHAWK

Side cut machine contrasts with the longer wires and flat crown. Modeled back, they form a tuft which shows a wide streak of strong type, on color the golden brown.

 ARREPIADOO corte todo desfiado ganha toque um tanto exótico com a modelagem ultramoderna. O trabalho feito com gel destaca a franja e joga as laterais para cima. Como resultado, linhas muito bem-definidas.

The haircut gets all frayed somewhat exotic touch with modeling ultramodern. Work done with the gel strip and throw out the sides up. As a result, very well-defined lines.

 YUPPIE
Corte batidinho nas laterais e com volume no alto da cabeça. Repartidos de lado, os fios formam um topete curvilíneo modelado com gel. O produto dá forma e durabilidade ao look.
